 COLLOMIA GRANDIFLORA (Polemoniaceae) HA HB
This rarely seen North West American plant carries, on strong reddish stems, compact clusters of flowers in a difficult-to-describe creamy-salmon-buttermilk colour. It self-seeds freely into corners where it is happy, but never becomes a weed. You will also discover, to your pleasant surprise, the odd scarlet flower of the rarer and dwarfer (12-18in) Chilean plant, Collomia biflora (syn. C cavanillessii). These have jumped over from our Chilean garden and the seedheads are identical!
Sowing Instructions
Best Sown in spring or autumn outside directly where it is to flower.
