Mutton Bird Sedge". A rare and impressive sedge, large in all its parts, found in Chile, the Chatham Islands (New Zealand) and on the Antarctic Islands. Chubby, bullrush-like spikes cluster at the end of strong stems with broad glaucous leaves.
Sowing advice:COVER SEED THINLY WITH COMPOST OR GRIT IN GENTLE HEAT OR A WARM LIGHT SPOT OUTSIDE. GROW ON SINGLY OR IN CLUMPS IN 3" POTS. PLANT OUT IN A WELL-DRAINED OPEN POSITION.
