Most rushes grow by water. This was discovered, thriving, on a scorching hot mountain terrace high in the mountains of Gran Canaria. Stiff, pointed, silvery green, needle-like leaves radiating from a solid rosette.
Sowing advice: COVER SEED THINLY WITH COMPOST OR GRIT IN GENTLE HEAT OR A WARM LIGHT SPOT OUTSIDE. GROW ON SINGLY OR IN CLUMPS IN 3" POTS. PLANT OUT IN A WELL-DRAINED OPEN POSITION.
