HACKELIA FLORIBUNDA Boraginaceae HA HB 12-15in
Another newcomer carrying sprays of large, piercing blue flowers on branching stems bearing small hairy leaves, which are produced from spring until September. Overwintered plants put on a superb spring display. In late autumn the strange velcro-like seeds should be shaken off where more plants are required.
Sowing advice: L. SOW IN SPRING OUTSIDE, DIRECTLY INTO THE GROUND OR IN POTS. KEEP MOIST IN A WARM, LIGHT SPOT. PLANT OUT IN GOOD GARDEN SOIL FOR BEST RESULTS.
