This very long lived and exotic looking plant is in fact completely hardy. Exceedingly lovely, soft yellow, orchid-like hooded flowers, arise from tufts of glossy lanceolate leaves over a long period in early and midsummer.
Sowing advice:SOW IMMEDIATELY ON RECEIPT. COVER WITH COMPOST 5mm. DEEP. KEEP COOL OUTSIDE. SEEDS USUALLY GERMINATE DEC/JAN WHENEVER SOWN. NO HEAT NEEDED. GROW ON IN 3" POTS. PLANT OUT IN GOOD SOIL.
