ALTHAEA CANNABINA (Malvaceae) HP 6-8 ft (10 seeds)
A sumptuous plant whose flowering glory and real value becomes apparent only in mid September and October when most other flowers have finished. Cupped, dark eyed rosy pink flowers on numerous long stalks, ascend the stems which are clad in small, soft cannabis-like (so we are told) leaves. Always covetted by late season visitors. Rarely seen or grown, but should be.
Sowing Instructions
Sow finely and evenly. Cover thinly with compost or grit.
Keep moist in a well-lit spot outside.
Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots.
Plant out in good, well-drained soil
