ARABIS PURPUREA (Cruciferae) HP 4-6 in
A superb, valuable and brand new plant discovered and introduced by us. We found this gem high in the alpine ski-zone of the Troodos Mountains of Cyprus. On trial in the open here it is the earliest by far of all arabis varieties to flower, coming out with the snowdrops. Numerous sprays of delicate pink flowers are produced from January onwards over a compact cushion of fleshy grey leaves. Excellent in a pot too!
Sowing Instructions
Sow finely and evenly. Cover thinly with compost or grit.
Sow in gentle heat in daylight and keep moist.
Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots.
Plant out in well-drained open position.
