ECHIUM PINK FOUNTAIN (Boraginaceae) HB HP 7-10 ft

Another superlative introduction and the most lusted-after plant in the gardens this year. These plants are crosses we made between the two most beautiful of all echiums. Echium wildpretii with its four foot, fat red spike, and the giant blue Echium pininana. The result, unsurprisingly, is infinitely desirable. A 15 inch wide, tapering tower of delicate pink flowers, guaranteed to stop everyone in their tracks.

Sowing Instructions
Sow finely and evenly.
Cover thinly with compost or grit.
Sow in a cool covered light spot outside and keep moist.
Grow on individual seedlings in 3-inch pots.
Plant out in well-drained open position.
