ECHIUM WILDPRETII (Boraginaceae) HB HP 3-5 ft
Stout rose-pink spikes of massed flowers arise from prostrate rosettes of radiating furry grey leaves. This is certainly the most desirable and sought-after of all echium species. Originating high on the volcanoes of the Canary Islands, this is a challenge to grow perfectly, but success will bring crowds flocking to see it.
