 LOBELIA TUPA (Campanulaceae) HP 4-8 ft
An incredible giant hardy lobelia from Chile. Superb in all its parts. From a large rosette of thick leathery felted leaves arise thick red stems carrying tropical looking orchid-like deepest carmine flowers. This valuable late season display does not begin until July, continuing until the autumn frosts. Long lived in a well-drained spot.
Sowing Instructions
Sow finely and evenly at anytime in gentle heat or a warm spot outside.
Cover thinly.
Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots.
Plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
