 LUPINUS CHAMISSONIS (Papilionaceae) HP
This incredible new lupin forms a low dome of tiny, silky, silvery blue-green "lupin" leaves, liberally dotted with short, stumpy spikes of blue and white flowers. Looks exotic and tender, but has thrived outdoors for years here. If pot grown, and deprived of food and water, the entire plant turns metallic grey and can win many a prize!
Sowing Instructions
Cover with compost or grit 5mm deep.
Sow anytime and keep moist in a cool, light spot outside. Slow to germinate.
Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots.
Plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
