 LUPINUS PLUMMY-BLUE (Leguminosae) HP
An attractive hybrid produced here by crossing a blue tree lupin (with pale blue and white flowers), with a red Russell lupin. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a shrub carrying plump spikes of creamy pink buds which opened into bicolored blue and plum flowers. Seedlings will vary. May be trained into a standard shrub. Prune top growth back hard each spring.
Sowing Instructions
Cover with compost or grit 5mm deep.
Sow anytime and keep moist in a cool, light spot outside. Slow to germinate.
Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots.
Plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
