PROSTANTHERA LASIANTHOS (Labiatae) HHP

Delicate, fragrant, purple-spotted, pale lilac, orchid-like flowers adorn this bush from July until the frost. A truly spectacular, scented foliage evergreen shrub from Australia which has stood ten winters outside, facing north, here. Sometimes called the "Christmas Bush" - this may be because the flowers resemble Christmas tree angels, or perhaps it flowers at Christmas. We do not know.
