 SILENE VIRIDIFLORA (Caryophlaceae) HP
A most unusual plant producing a dense swarm of small greenish-cream flowers which have curiously swept-back petals. These grow thickly over a mass of thin, continuously branching, sticky stems. From a distance, this gives an effect very much like that of gypsophila so loved by florists.
