 MITRARIA COCCINEA (Gesneriaceae ) HSh
A rare and lovely "African Violet" relative (yes really!) from the cold forests of southern Chile. A fascinating scrambling/climbing, slowly suckering shrub. The dazzling red and yellow tubular flowers bloom from early spring until late autumn.
Sowing advice:SOW FINELY & EVENLY AT ANYTIME IN GENTLE HEAT OR A WARM SPOT OUTSIDE. COVER THINLY. GROW ON INDIVIDUAL SEEDLINGS IN 3" POTS. PLANT OUT IN A WELL-DRAINED SHELTERED POSITION.
