FATSIA JAPONICA Araliaceae HSh 3-6ft

A tropical-looking, frost-hardy evergreen shrub with large, leathery, brightly-polished leaves. Panicles of white flowers appear late in the year and much later still, come the large clusters of jet-back berries.

Sowing advice: Z. COVER WITH COMPOST OR GRIT 5mm. DEEP. SOW ANYTIME IN A SEED TRAY OUTSIDE. MAY BE VERY SLOW TO GERMINATE. GROW ON INDIVIDUAL SEEDLINGS IN 3" POTS. PLANT OUT IN A WELL-DRAINED SHELTERED POSITION.
