 MELIANTHUS COMOSUS Melianthaceae H HHSh 2-4 ft (5 Seeds)
A rare, high altitude, hardy dwarf relative of the fabulous Melianthus major. Silver-grey, deeply fingered leaves smelling of hazelnuts when bruised. Maroon flowers with chocolate bracts and green stamens produce pale green inflated fruits.
Sowing advice: D. COVER WITH COMPOST OR GRIT 5mm. DEEP. SOW ANYTIME AND KEEP MOIST IN A COOL, LIGHT SPOT OUTSIDE. MAY BE SLOW TO GERMINATE. GROW ON INDIVIDUAL SEEDLINGS IN 3" POTS. PLANT OUT IN A WELL-DRAINED SHELTERED POSITION.
